However I have been finding that it's easier to open up to alot of my XI family and some of them have been there for me through some pretty tough times. My brother passed away a few years ago on Christmas and I've always had a hard time enjoying it. Well this year after Covid I'm really trying to collect myself together and just be happy again. Over time, it gets so much easier. I like the idea of honoring those we've lost who we love, like when a beloved dog dies and they make a paw print ornament for me, put that on the tree, ornaments that have particular meaning for lost loved ones, and have photos and remembrances on display. I feel like it kinda includes lost loved ones, if there is such a thing as an afterlife, spirits, maybe this helps include them to our living celebrations. I tend to make a room in my house for ancestor photos and hung up documents, I think it helps. Life is bittersweet but thank goodness we are alive and living! Im one of those Christmas idiots that tree has 1500 lights in it. The house has about 3000 and out side 9000 . So I love Christmas I even invite the wifes last husband. Over teh years I have collected enough ornamintes to do the tree in 9 different colours . My Favorite is nothing but wood ornaments it looks like a lost puppy when done but if you stand there and look there is a hundreds question of what each ornament means.
