I have noticed some recent changes, and i have to ask something. Are we trying to fuck this server up so badly so nobody wants to play this game anymore? just a list of things that are just horrible changed - Duke is even weaker then the regular soldier, so what is the point of taking the duke anymore? - Nowhere there is ammo to be found, so empty gun... too bad just die to get new ammo? -Cars have 0 protection against being shot, so do not bother to defrost with them because they die instantly These are the common things i use, and I DON'T LIKE IT! Keep up the good work and i will move on as well, as did a lot of others.

I thought It was just my luck I end up finding empty guns. @Sammy - I have to say we've made the mod too soft core. I was "ok" with people being able to absorb a hit, or walk away from a headshot. You do know part of the pull for this mod even after all these years was that it was very easy for newbies or not so skilled players to do well. Hardcore, meant you get shot in your toe and you die that's perfectly fine by me. This is not real life, it doesn't have to imitate that either. Sure, it gives way for some people to dominate but that's across the board so anyone can do well, its fair. Most of the complaints that people used to make about 1-shot kill, or cars all around for easy kills, IMHO; just sore losers. The spirit of this mod was easy gaming and pulling each other's leg or at least that's what I think it is, stupid silly fun. I just don't understand why you need to give armor or juggernaut or flak jacket. Heck make it instagib, so people can stop taking this game too seriously. Go play Insurgency or ARMA if you care so much about "realism". Noob guns are perfectly fine in my opinion.

We love to hear the community opinions, but we don't need to make threats about leaving. The more feedback we get from the community the better we can make the server. We will continue to tweak things as we get more feedback. We started to make minor tweaks because of community feedback about the server. Just need to find a happy medium, its a work in progress and we will find the happy place, just will take a few tweaks to get it right. Thanks Pink for your thoughts.

Couldn't there be some kind of polling on changes? As with most things it seems like the vocal minority will make their voices heard and changes made to appease them, possibly against what the quieter majority may prefer. Not saying that is the case here, but just wary of it. Here is one : Pretty much everyone I have asked wishes you could turn into killstreaks faster, as that half second or so while you are switching and can't use your gun is problematic when an enemy appears and you can't shoot them. In reality I've probably asked fewer than 5-10% of people that actually play the server, however it does point towards something that people would potentially prefer. At the same time I haven't ever made a post about it as if everyone made a post on every little thing they wanted tweaked it would be a complete mess.

Moving on in games Rugger, not in the community. I would never leave XI for a game, but if the game is no fun anymore then why stay? keep in mind that making all these changes that are not well overthought is not beneficial for the server.

Howdy folks, It's obvious that Steam has screwed the pooch with some sort of update, decided to back everyone down to 1.6 then update everyone to a non-standard 1.8 community update that we don't currently support and our COD4 numbers are likely suffering because of it. This doesn't effect Disk based windows install folks, Linux based folks or Mac App store based folks just yet. Some Options May be: Go to 1.8, it's been out for a while but 1.8 is not official and it's not available for Linux or Mac and may never be so that cuts out a percentage of our players (and members) that won't ever be able to play on our servers if we do that. Have our Sr folks/programmer types that have some clout Talk to Steam and ask them WTF is going on and maybe throw any weight we have around and see if there is a change that can be made or find out why this is happening? Stay the Course and see COD4 dwindle down to nothing, which will be what the folks who play the other games have been hoping for the last decade plus would happen @Ruggerxi @Sammy @dadda2 @Sitting-Duc @Gatorgirl @BUDMAN @Roxy! what say you all? the time is nigh to act Respectfully, Yaccster

Since the server is just getting started, we limit teams to two players... until the server has more regular players... there's 250 slots... so there's plenty of room for growth. I didn't set a team limit back in November when the server first went online... people were grouping up in raid parties of up to 5, discouraging solo players from staying.. so the team limit has been set at a max of 2 to encourage solo players to stay & even the playing field...it has resulted in more pvp & an overall increase in happiness to the players that are on the server. As the population increases, the rules can be changed accordingly.

polls would be good things like top 3 thing out 5-10 thing people wants and out those 3 win what and how should be changed maybe? so not to much to do list keep it simple.

Update/No Update as of 4/17/19: For those who tuned in late, @J3st3r's fix above is the solution for Windows, Mac users do not need it at all as they are still limited to ver 1.7 on Steam or the Mac App Store.

We dont know what this steam 1.8 update is. However codx 1.8 doesnt replace the 1.7 executable afaik so that isnt it.
