We are waiting to hear word from PB on what happened, why all the bans and how to proceed. There were a shit load of these bans issued to players all across COD4 not just our servers but all servers. My thought is there was some kinda addition to the hack detect program that fucked up and seen something on the players computer that triggered an aimbot detection. This is only my gut feeling and the SR team is still in discussions about this and we will update everyone to how we are gonna proceed in the future with these bans once we know. Out of well above 13 million units sold up to 2009 (that is across all platforms and the latest stats I can find.. you know it's way above that by now), and only a few 100 or so bans in this recent rash, so far, it's not very likely that it will happen to you. BUT, tell that to the poor bastards on here that have gotten banned. I am truly sorry this is happening. I sincerely hope that Evenbalance will clear this up quickly. Thanks Bama, I uninstalled COD4 Yesterday from my ssd drive and was going to put it on my terrabyte drive, but i think i will hold off for now... is this problem only affecting cod4 players or is it across all our servers that have PB enabled? Cause I got to get my cod 5 reinstalled as I also had to remove it from my SSD drive and move it to my Terrabyte drive to make room for BF3 update. I play BF3 and it had that dreaded TS3 overlay... that some are saying can be picked up as a hack by PB... anyone else have any other info on this? It "seems" (emphasis on seems, only because this is what I've heard) that this is caused by running razer drivers that (at least used to, though not sure if currently) undetectable <removed>, so they're banning for running razer drivers. So I'd say that if you do have razer gear, disable all drivers until they get this problem fixed. We've had one of our members banned through this as well in addition to some of our public players and many people across many servers. We also have a discussion here (though let me know if it's not ok to link to our clan's forums) from some of our members who are much more knowledgeable about this than I am (I'm also not sure how long that link will be up since we're moving websites in the next few weeks). I know that over the last week, all 4 of my PC's have had Java, Adobe, and automatice Windows security updates. Perhaps a poll is in order for the COD4 players to see what operating systems those people who have been banned are using, and ask if they're had updates over the last week.
