For the past couple years a few friends of mine have been going fishing at the Niagara Falls Whirl Pool. Trout, Muskie, Bass, Tons of fish in this place, people fly from all over the world to fish the whirl pool. It is a pretty epic hike down to the water and an even tougher hike back out with a shit ton of stairs to climb, but not normal stairs, these fuckers were built for a giant... the step up to each stair is 2 railway ties, so a hell of alot higher that a normal step, and there are a shit load of them!

Well I am... or should say was, a really big fat fuck, no hope in hell I would have been able to make the climb back out, so I never went with them..... until yesterday! Have lost 80lbs now in the last 6 months and decided to give it a go! The hike in was beautiful and not too bad, took about 15 minutes to get down to the water. We didnt catch any fish, saw 4 nice rainbows caught, then made the hike out, I had to take 4 breaks on the hike out, a shit ton of stairs and paths to get out, took about 40 minutes but I fucking made it!! This was a HUGE personal feat for me, never did I ever think I would make it down there. Things can only get better from here!!!

I am still amazed I was able to do this, from just under of 400lbs to climbing out of the Niagara Whirlpool 83 lbs lighter 6 months later..... FUCK YEAH!!!

No secret at all, before this Lifestyle change i was 390lbs soaking wet LOL. wet from sweat LOL. I NEVER ate breakfast unless it was something from a greasy spoon diner, and I didnt do that often at all. Lunch would be 3 or 4 pieces of toast and peanut butter before heading to work at 11am, again maybe only 3 days of 7. I would work a 12 hour shift, while at work I would not bring food to work, I would drink 4 coffee and maybe once a week get a donut or a 10 pack of timbits (donut holes for you 'muricans) and maybe once a week grab a burger and fries, other days, i just didnt eat at work, never did in the years I been there. Then i would go home at 11pm... huge plate of food waiting for me from dinner, a big hunk of meat, a bunch of taters and some corn or beans. Id wolf that down with 3 or 4 pieces of buttered bread. then off to bed a half hour later and do it all again the next day. Then wonder why I was ballooning out and getting bigger and bigger but not SEEMING to be eating that much at all compared to other people. After talking to a nutritionist i found out that by not eating all day then powering a heavily carbed bread filled dinner of 2000 calories and going to bed my body was thinking it was starving even though i was morbidly obese. everything I ate, my body would store because it didnt know when it would get food next

 

October 27th of last year, after a lengthy conversation with a radio dj I know who was at the time 90lbs lost, I decided to start eating different. Stopped eating bread for the 1st month and started eating regular. for breakfast I would have a bowl of cereal, usualy half honey nut cheerios half multigrain cheerios and a banana at around 730am. around 10 I would have a clementine or apple or handfull of grapes. around noon I will have 2 hard boiled eggs, a piece of fruit and a 5 calorie reduced sugar snack pack jello. around 230-300 i would have another piece of fruit or some carrot sticks and celery with a handfull of unsalted almonds. Dinner would be a nice big hunk of protien, a big ole chicken breast, a porkchop, a couple pieces of roast beef. with that i would have a bit of long grain rice or 1 potato cut up and boiled with a bit of becel and a huge serving of California mix (Brocholli, cauliflower and carrots mixed) I stopped using ketchup, switched to sriracha hot sauce, i hated my veggies, this was the only way i could force em down, cover them in hot sauce and cram them in, i knew i needed to, not only for the vitamin aspect but for filler at low calorie cost, dont mind them as much now, still use sriracha though LOL. around 730 i would have another piece of fruit (usually clementines, fuck i love them LOL) then i wouldnt eat nothing else. Do it all again the next day. I would change up flavours of cereal and once a week I would have a tuna sandwich on ancient grain bread with quinoa instead of the eggs. The wife doesnt understand how i am not sick of cereal and hard boiled eggs yet, its been 6 months. but when ya dont normally have them things, to cram them in and continue on your day as if nothing happened is nothing to me, just a means to a way ya know. it was working, didnt want to fuck with it. 4.5 months in I was 65 lbs down, lost all the weight i had gained when i quit smoking 6 years ago. The weight loss stopped, was still eating the same, yet the scale wasnt moving, I had leveled off, it happens. So I introduced a bit of exersize about 3 weeks ago. I would smoke a huge joint or do a couple shatter dabs and plug in some tunes in my headset and cruise the mall for an hour a day on my days off. weight started coming off again and I am now at 83lbs lost as of yesterday, the 27th of April exactly 6 months into this journey. Interested to see what the next 6 months brings!!!
