Retirement

Recommended Posts

So, I finally retire at the end of this week. After nearly 30 years on this job, I've had enough. Times, politics and people have changed, and not for the better. I started the job very young, so I get to retire at an early age. I'll be taking some time off and away for myself. XI rocks and keeps me sane in my down time. Be well, and be more than safe out there.

Go for it EC 50,you're not going to get much richer only older,I was able to retire at 51 and I am almost 68.This year I also got diagnosed with cancer,so now I am happy I got to retire at my early age.Oh my cancer is stable for now.Whoever made up the term "Golden Years" should be put in the hospital cause he didn't know what he was talking about. For now I'm hoping to be around for my newest grandchild around March 2020.Then  maybe the 2020 >XI< fest.

Great EastCoast50 , Retirement is great if you can make it work.  I retired end of 2016 after 43-years at my job. With pay concessions, job bankruptcies , I couldn’t make retirement work for me until I was 63...but  best decision I made... try to get a few good years in before medical issues arise.   No looking back...  Again happy for you...Cheers
