Seven easy steps to make your own tin foil hat.

7. Don your hat.
Wear your hat in any placeand anytime you wish to screen your thoughts from extraterrestrial-alien, governmental or other types of surveillances.

This was not only on the internet... but an actual publication. Therefore, it must be true. After all, its the worlds only reliable newspaper. They said so and that also must be true.

Actually this first appeared in one of those old email chains before the Internet became mainstream. Remember those? Got em all the time and good for a laugh. But still a huge number of people believed it no matter how many times it was disproved to be a hoax. However, these days, its easy to make such things that include fake 'proof' (many sites do it for you) and doesnt help when distributed by sites that never check whether something is bullshit, including big name sites with huge audiences, and even then will do nothing when it is shown to be that.

And then you get complaints by well known people believing such things getting on the air and complaining about censorship and vast conspiracies when taken down. To the point that some in power try to change laws because of 'it'. Whatever 'it' is, pick one. Its stuff like this that destroyed any faith I had in the intelligence of this country.

I hate to say it but places like that affect far too many people into believing whats on them. Trump used to keep saying 'fake news'. To be fair there is truth to that. However he was very selective on what was fake and what was not. If anything was against him or his interests, especially personally, it was fake. Anything that supported him was truth no matter how outlandish and obviously untrue.

His base never questioned anything pro-Trump, and would never consider anything anti-Trump, else they be ostracized even by family. And of course a great many anti-Trump people were the same and didnt question that side either.

It used to be 'question authority'. That doesnt seem to be happening as much but does show signs of changing a little. Or at least too many wont question their own sides authority. But at the very least, it should also be 'question the information'.

A lab leak is always in the realm of possibilities. However, in the absence of verifiable facts (hard to come by in China), the likelihood of it is small. But not zero. The world has created a great many major pandemics on its own with no help from humans to try and kill us all.

That said, investigations are ongoing and there is no egg on anyones face. As it is, there is far far more 'evidence' of aliens than there is of a lab leak. Want to tell us, based on said evidence, that we are being ruled by alien overlords?
