This is what I see after a few drinks

Change to something new... which goes for every franchise... and the inevitable result is always the same. Some will leave, some will continue, and new ones will join. No idea if anyone actually has a definitive answer to that with a lot of non-subjective data to back it up. Simply personal experience, or the opinions of people you know, isnt enough to judge. In any case, another question I suppose is whether or not there is such a thing as a 'main' server. It seems to suggest that players will go there regardless of whats on it because it has the IP. Perhaps, to remove OW2 from the question entirely... no argument about old vs new... ditch it and set up another G13. Will traffic remain the same because it is the 'main'? Or will they go elsewhere? Will the G13 crowd move because its the 'main' server? Dont know myself, but does this 'main' server thing go for all servers? Including all games? Or is it one server among equals? My guess, go ask regulars there and they will say 'main' is bullshit. There is their own personal 'main' and that is it.

Definitely agree with this, kinda ruins it a bit when you get noob tubed from across the map else.

Oh and since this seems to get a test of some sort, place an advertisement on each informing people of the other. So everybody can make an informed decision.

@Dessy 'Double Dutch' is a saying in the UK where you can't understand it, i.e. 'he was speaking Double Dutch to me'. As you have probably noticed people from the UK are not the greatest at languages, and Dutch is one of the hardest to speak. Hence double Dutch is twice as hard to understand as even normal Dutch. We also have a less complimentary saying of 'Going Dutch' i.e. if you went for a meal each individual pays their share of the bill, no good when courting.

I will be sending out a pm today or tomorrow announcing that the old mod will be put on the main server for the weekend, Friday night or Saturday morning until Sunday night. This will be a little test to see how people feel about once they are on it actually playing.

Ah? now I know where the term 'Double Dutch' comes from I didn't quite get that Dessy but there is still the very good point that the old mod is there, just no one plays on it. Now to me (and most logical people) is why don't all those crying for the new mod play on the server it's on? I'm baffled as to what exactly this argument is about other than swapping mods on 2 servers. It's no good whining about voters for the new mod (minority, in a voting system open to the world as you rightly point out), when no one is playing on the old one. I think they're both good so if you want when I get the chance (babysitting today) I'll sit on the old mod for 1 hour max and see if it will pick up. Or alternatively if a few of you want to pick a time we can all turn up and play.

Perhaps the poll should show who voted for what. In the interest of transparency.

Somewhat of a sticker shock but off I go to WDW in mid October. Just after the 50th anniversary stuff begins and also more things open up post-covid. Also various Halloween things. Been three years since my last extended vacation, partly because of covid of course. Cost wasnt too bad considering its Disney, and there is always the air fare, but actually a bit less than when I was there in 2006 and with a better room and an extra day. They are not fully out of covid yet so there are modest deals to be had. And of course now there is Star Wars and Pandora among other things. No Marvel though, and no 12-midnight magic hours, which is a bummer. But 9pm, at least for MK, is good. Might check out Celebration to see what its like.

I use a focusrite 2nd gen 2 input/4output audio interface for all my recording through my PC with Reaper as my DAW (which is free for like the first 90 days,which I stretched over 200 days before I bought it for $60.)I think it's a good one to start out with.

Focusrite have great preamps. If it was me I would go for a Mackie Big Knob 3x2. These are an all in one interface that can handle all your needs. 2 preamps, headphone outs, monitor control, etc.. They also use the Onyx+ Series preamps which are very nice. I used a Mackie 1640i for over a decade recording music and the preamps are clean. Not sure what your budget is, but the Mackie Big Knob 4x3 has stereo ins ands outs added. Cost $349 vs the 3x2 at $249. But at $119 the Scarlett will work nicely. Ive played with the Presonus USB interfaces also. They sound good too, but I always had driver issues. Granted that was way back in the day when they first hit the market. But the Mackie's offer Two headphone amps and volume controls. That in itself is a great option, especially if your going to do a podcast with another person at some point. I would spend the extra $140 and at least get the Mackie 3x2. Research them all and see what fits your bill.

no robmc the old mod was put on a diffrent server when the new mod was uploaded but it was also changed a little settings where changed it did not play the same point is they put it on a diffrent serv while the new mod was put on the main server but the new mod had the same thing it was put on a other server and it dident get any traffic cuz people went to the main server this is just the way it goes no one wants to do a 3 vs 3 or 6 vs 6 so they follow the crowd i dont get the double dutch remark to clarify thanks rugger for putting the mod back for the weekend

First off, Big Fuckin' Huge creds go to our service men and woman !! (on the front lines in particular) for this forum effort.Sunday, I was planning on going by myself to paintball,as I usually do and meet up with the regulars dudes I hang out with(the flotsam and jetsam of the paintball crowd), lone warriors banding together to fight for the cause or whatever rules pertain to this particular game at hand....It being Fathers day and my two sons were there,because we had a college graduation party for my youngest on Sat into Sat. night and they stayed.I thought they would say No to me asking if they wanted to go but to my surprise they said yes.So I got out their guns oiled them up switched out my oldest sons stock barrel on his Tippmann custom 98 with one of my Lapco(smaller bore size and the best one piece barrels out there).Cooler full of water,compressed air tanks and the necessary gear.Gear........gear for me is NOT like a speedballer and or a hopper fed baller.Oh no......you have to have more than a belt with extra pods,gloves and a mask and maybe a remote line for their tank hanging off a pod belt or strapped sideways on the small of their back.They can carry 150 to 200 rounds in their hopper and each pod can usually refill their hopper and most have electronic feed hoppers that can shoot up to 19 balls a second...some guys carry like 3 to 4 pods if not more but very out of the way and easy to carry....noisy as hell though...lol.Here is where Realism(Mostly) meets paintball.....Magazine fed,like....magazines that hold 19 to 21 rounds of paint and a gun that fires magazines...magfed.No hopper on top, that restricts your view or just a pain in the ass to me(one thing I never liked about playing paintball before but you couldn't get around it...haha, around it)....when I recently was turned onto magfed this last fall,I instantly feel in love with it ! So much more real and when everyone is magfed,it's totally bad ass !. Getting back to realism,besides that,I have to have some way to carry my mags,I run with 9 right now,a mag dump pouch for spent mags,this requires a vest,plate carrier or just a mag carrier vest that just has mag pouches in front across the whole chest,mine takes 6 and this is what I was using today because it was hot as hell and I wanted to be somewhat lighter.....one mag in my gun two loaded in my mag dump pouch and the 6 on my chest rig and on my belt,3 pistol mags and a barrel squeege/cleaner, a pistol strapped to my leg(off of my belt) with one clip in.I have a utility pouch with wrenches and micro fiber clothes and gun lube on my belt along with 2 pod s,one filled with extra ammo and one with a back up 13 cubic inch tank....if needed.Long pants,knee pads(don't laugh because they 'are" necessary,especially when your old like me)....My shirt is a real Army issue long sleeve summer shirt for Afghanistan but is still hot as hell because of the sleeves....I obtained this from a guy I know who did 4 tours 2 in Iraq and 2 in Afghanistan,along with a mask and gloves...this gear is hot as hell on a day like that....at least 88 to 90 degrees and humid as hell with no breeze...needless to say this is not near the amount of gear a normal soldier wears and in heat hotter than where I was...these guys have to go out in the heat with all that gear and to just walk around can be exhausting but to have to fight and maybe for hours and hours on end....Holy Hell ! it was getting to me and I'm in good shape,yes older than them but still....I was drinking like an empty camel ! they have to do this day in and day out and be mentally and physically alert for anything,adrenaline pumping...it can become quite and obstacle to overcome but they do it.So they don't have to just deal with the enemy but other factors like the weather.We had a blast ! my sons did well, I racked up some wicked kills as well as getting shot,I took one to the mask .. ha ha coconut.... Old COD 4 Ace humor....I also tagged a guy 5 times from his knee up his arm to his head,all on semi auto but I did blast some unlucky souls in the final match of the day with some full auto...yeah baby ! and even got some when I ran out of rifle mags and went with my side arm,including a head shot NO MERCY !! side note:I'm always at a disadvantage when I play on these small contained courses with hopper fed crazies and the speed of the game is much faster but I go because I work on my rig set up to make things more efficient and to work the bugs out before I go play some serious Magfed.Doing stuff like reloading or cleaning the barrel after a break or even changing a tank(which sucks)to cleaning out your breach after you just chopped a ball in half(doesn't happen much at all but when it does,you have to be ready) when I do this under pressure it just makes me a better player and faster,for when I get in some serious Magfed. If any of you want to play COD for real,Magfed is the closest you will come and the serious games and tactical warfare can be intense ! Ball on brothers and sisters !!

I don't care. I did notice that after the introduction of the new mod the server lost a lot of players. Too bad because now I am sometimes only with 8 players in the game. The fun is a bit off now. Please see 1 server that is full. Then 3 servera with a few players "Sammy, You do great work"

Back in the day i managed the best freezetag server in MOH spearhead in europe we where nr1 on the gametracker site for a decade untill the gamespy service was ended (meaning the main server list was terminated) i still have the server files and client files we can set it up on XI just need to load it up and change the passwords in the rcon and change the servername and msg what are we talking about here Ready to go server with more then 300 custom maps cmpatable with the FT mod All stock maps can be set to a christmas setting (meaning the sky is made to dark and there are chrristmas lights evverywhere and christmas trees All stock maps modded with extra,s teleports in maps and weapons spawns ingame ccustom admin console wich gives you full control within the game by pressing F5 these are my files from a clan was called theshootingidiots TSI

I don't have a problem being transparent about it......I voted old. The new mod combined with the release of Modern Warfare is the reason I stopped playing on the server. There is just something about the newer mod that I don't like. Actually a few things about it. I've been one that has been vocal about it to some of the admins, not here on the forums, but on other platforms (WhattsApp). I was and still am willing to give it a try, I just think the older mod runs more smoothly and isn't congested with all the "extra crap" in this mod. One of the things that made the older games nice (in my opinion), is the fact that there weren't a buttload of options, perks, settings, whatever. you just played. Didn't need to bind extra keys to steal killstreaks, drop trophy systems, etc... The movement on the newer mod is just clunky. The old mod ran smoothly, and definitely felt quicker and more responsive. Sammy, You do great work. I just am not a fan of the newer mod. BUT, that is only my opinion. Being a past server admin of my old clan's server and helping tweak and run mods, I fully understand that you just can't please everyone. Thank you for all your hard work trying to do just that.

So where does the new mod go once everyone votes the old mod back in, is that going on another server at least? I much prefer that over the old one, also not keen on the idea of Sammy's work just being thrown onto the back burner, he busted his ass over this and personally I think he deserves better. You already put the old mod back up onto a server, yet the people who complain about the new mod still flock to it rather than play on the other server, I have no sympathy for these people they just want a reason to whinge imo.

A few of us played last night and we all were saying how good it was. The gameplay/engine was so smooth and guns felt right. Give it a go and see if you like it better!

I'm just plain refusing to play with him, Yacc is right (and he is not alone) he jumps with gun around his waist as he jumps he fires and boom headshot every time. Admin on - play normal, no admin he can get to places I have never seen anyone else get to and he can score more in one round than most in five. Let us be kind, he isn't hacking but he is a disruptive player, no one likes him, do as I do just refuse to play with him, fed up with the fckr, ruins our enjoyment.

this post does not mean a thing tho its like the us voting system you can have more votes but the end result will be the new mod stays not to say that there will be more votes for the new mod once they rallyd up all their friends who dont even play mw2. the other downpart will be those 19 votes know for the new mod against the 30 votes for the old will complain against the admin team as wel with the same storys the people from the old mod have if the old mod gets uploaded again .

I could be wrong , but I think Bio is looking for a master list of the maps the rotations are pulled from…?
