Ruggerxi 10406
Another question I would like to hear peoples thoughts on, does the universe go on for infinity? There can't be an end right? If there was what would the end be? A wall? if so whats on the other side of the wall?
 Awards

RobMc 5684
Serious answer, I used to lie awake at night as a teenager thinking about infinity ( no girls in our street ), and it can drive you mad, try it. The universe in general is expanding (red shift), but expanding into where ? same type of thought. If nothing has a finite end then we leave the physical and move into time and dimensions but where do these then go ? If mankind exists long enough we might find out, but theres more chance of me thrashing Larsin. My best guess is that there are black holes at the edge sucking in matter, but then where does that go?? There are plenty of theories from people far cleverer than me, but theories are often wrong. Ghostlupus 176
Fascinating question which bothered me all my life. so fa and still does. I have read all the books of Stephan Hawking but didn't understand everything due to limited knowledge and intellect. I think know body will be able to give a definite answer and scientists are just not able to say "I don't know" All the theories about the big bang and the ever expanding universe after? Where did the material came from in the first place? Expanding in where if there was nothing before hand? RobMc is right. Ok, we do know black holes exist but how and why did they develop and where do they lead? Time and gravity is another factor! I think I will stop know as it blows my brain away. Going to have a very large Rum now. Thanks Rugg and Rob Ruggerxi, RobMc and FRENCHI 1 1
 Awards

Spartacus 2440
Maybe a better question is does space go on forever? Our Universe's size is measure by the things in it, Matter, Dark Matter, Photons, Neutrinos, Quarks, the other forms of radiation and the 4 main forces that keep on expanding and seemingly speeding up as it expands. So does our universe end at the edge of the things in it or does it include the space it is moving into? Woody_Ger 231
To be or not to be. I think we would thinking in the wrong dimensions. For a fish ist the ocean endless. We are know the Ocean has an end. We are thinking that the Universe are endless. Some other species know that there are has an end. The video below is only a movie, but there is one way what can to be wie the universe. Maybe not 1:1. wildthing 1999
@Ruggerxi When you want a true answer you have to ask yourself is their a higher being that created all things or was it just a big bang theory? Once you come to what you believe then we can can talk my friend on a more private forum. For I do have an answer for you that you can wrap your head around. EDD THE DUCK 7779
All you really need to know for the moment is that the universe is a lot more complicated than you might think, even if you start from a position of thinking it’s pretty damn complicated in the first place. hackeklaus 269
the answer is pretty easy... our galaxy is just a bunch of bacteria in the toilet from another much bigger species. ausimatador and Ruggerxi
 Awards
HarryWeezer 7088
We don't know if there's something on the other side of the universe, or if there is another side. We don't really know how big it is. The most distant objects we can see with a telescope give us an approximation of a universe that's about 93 billion light years in diameter and 14 billion years old but much of what we think we know is speculative. And it could be very wrong. For instance, our current science says the universe started with a "big bang" of a particle which was infinitesimally small. I don't buy it. I can't accept that all matter/energy that we see in an estimated 200 billion galaxies, each of which contains several hundred billion stars, came from something so small we wouldn't have been able to see it. It's a fascinating field because there's so much we don't know. Ruggerxi and RobMc 1
 Awards

ROADKillXI 107
well, it's hard to tell...they seem to have found an 'edge' but there's only static passed that...I like to think the universe is as infinite as the Word of God that created it...it was made by His Word, which is a material, if you will, that's as infinite as God the Word, Himself....but I'm one of them silly deluded believers, so what do I know....our minds are infinite, at least that's how I see them. God packed a whole universe inside our little mind...my mind has no boundaries, there is no end, it goes on forever... so, where ever I/you go, or where ever we are, we carry our infinite universe with us, and they don't collide with anyone else's...we add stuff to ours and each others and but they are never filled... i found this video, I believe this fella has some good points, what is really mind blowing, is our solar system is at the center of the view-able universe (@4:40) which evolutionist call 'the axis of evil' lol...anyway, I reckon I didn't help much, but there's my 2 cents.
