Yesterday was the worst day of my life, for those of you that know me, you will know that occasionally I visit these forums in the vain hope of learning and satisfaction. Yesterday I was totally rejected from my daily routine of reading of the woes of fellow humans (and others), try as I might from the early hours I could not contact the prime source of gaming knowledge. Desperately throughout the day I tried in vain, tears streaming from my eyes, cold turkey began to take a grip, I began to hallucinate deviating in desperation to Youtube and the bbc. There was only one thing to do, I rushed to the local medical centre on my mobility scooter, burning rubber. The doctor listened patiently, looked me over, and pronounced I was an idiot. Satisfied I am getting better, and despite only seeing in black and white I am fit again, pray my colour vision returns Love Rob

I don't really get what the problem is?.. "well I think I post enough and play on these servers enough" - That is exactly what the post limit is. All we are doing is to prevent people joining the site and spamming the chat log with abusive messages. We are simply putting in a requirement that a user will have posted 10 times before they can use it. It is nothing more than an arbitrary number of actions to put off the bots and spammers. If someone has over 10 posts then they can use the thing.. simple. Freedom of speech has nothing to do with this. This is a technical decision being made to combat a specific thing. Duc

There's a background tasks system that does the caching for this, it's a bit overloaded with copying the files over from the backup though ? Will get better when all the files are moved. Duc

LOL There have been a few posts made about the website having issues. They have all been posted in Website Discussion Section. If you ever see (and it is very rare) a red name called (Sitting-Duc) on the forums I would suggest you read his posts. He is the one who runs the site. He posted about the present issues everyone is experiencing. We are lucky he responded in this thread as he usually does not say anything. I think he is very very shy LOL Your asking a lot there hahahhahahahhahahahhahahha LOL

Disabling the chat box for non members was an immediate fix for a situation that was escalating, and wasn't intended to be long-term. There were also issues with the website in general the past several days. Duc has been working diligently on it to resolve those issues and find a solution to the chat box abuse by putting the 10 post parameter in place, a parameter that doesn't even come close to excluding someone with your post count.

Just relax there has been a break down on the web site and our webmaster is working on it.

Freedom of Speech? Really? This isn’t the street corner where your rights are protected by a government. You don’t have freedom of speech here and it is ridiculous to assert that you should. There are rules that everyone here, members and guests like you, must follow. Also, news flash, there are parts of this website and these forums that you are excluded from. Your entire post was actually an “attack” and that doesn’t change by you terming it an “observation” which you follow with... Why be passive aggressive? If you feel you have earned some right to take shots at the leadership of XI over a small thing like this then just say it and don’t attempt to cover it by calling it an observation. See what I did there? I didn’t sugar coat my opinion and try to hide it like I was making an observation, finish it by adding no offense intended or preface it with All due respect.
