No really guys..No Admins are available to change maps or kick Afk folks (like me)

yup 4 sure ...there aint shit for admins anymore..none in the am where tons of issues arise ...u got the server crashing replaying same maps multiple times a day..u got fuckers joining jus to go to afk for multiple rounds even sometimes full maps....MOD are a joke and a slap in the face to those wearing that tag..should be admin..there doin the admins job! crimson needs adm! we need people who actually care about bein a admin and keepin our servers fun...we need people who are around in the morning (YACC)... there r useless cod4 servers but a ton of inactive adm  WHERES THE NEW 147 SERVER? cant we make it jus like 146 but updated will it run better? keep cars same and add everything else kill the 146! ..this is the tlk on the server whether folks wanna believe it or not..SQUEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE..NOW PLZ GREASE OUR COD4! THINK YACCSTER WOULD BE A GOOD CHOICE AND CRIMSON AS WELL..def not attack on admins BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS... Y WEAR THE  ADM TAG IF UR NOT HERE?

I would have to agree; when I'm playing in the mornings, I rarely see an admin;  the other day there were 5 people afk for multiple rounds and nobody to take care of business.  Many times the same map pops up within an hour, & unless you get everyone to go spec., a few people can fuck up the program and force 12 people to sit in spec & watch or say fuck it and leave...  If the current admins aren't there in the morning because of other obligations, or whatever the reason(s) may be; get a consensus & make 2 or 3 people  capable of kicking afks & pushing maps.

That's essentially what us mods do, Timmah. We do the work for the admins when they aren't around. Sadly I don't moderate  CoD4 so I can't move things forward. But I get what you are all saying and I agree. There are a lot of admins that are either based in the US or perhaps Australia but I feel there isn't really anyone in the middle of that, such as Europe - so no one to be around in the early hours of the day for the breakfast club lot

I have a few problems with it all, one is the lack of admins around some parts of the day, another is all the dead servers. All the flash in a pan servers, ones that don't even get touched. I am happy with CoD4 having its two FT servers and the Ace Mod server. They are the ones that get played. Also the server crashes and map crashes, it's really bad for the game and will drive people away. Find the offending maps and take them out, that's what @loaderXI and I do on CoD2 when making new rotations.

This isn't a go at the admins, not in anyway, I just wish there was a little more that could be done.

Yaccster- without having consulted him- might be a good choice, Crack is around, shit...even yours truly is around more mornings than not.  =)  Just someone there to push a map & kick someone afk for an extended period of time.

These things do take time, there's so much that goes on in the background that a lot don't know about. Hell, I barely know much yet! In the grand scheme of things, something will be done - we just have to bitch and moan to ourselves for a bit

Just being silly.    I'm around, there's been several times I could have pushed a map or kicked someone afk for an extended period.  Thanks for the vote of confidence.  Whoever they find, I'm sure the admins will get someone to holler at when we need some help.

This is true, BUT, what about others?.. 

@Predat0r has NOT game since she quit..Both were attached at the hip I think...She left he stopped playing.

I do not get that. What is so hard about picking admins? You all know the characters of the members that have been here for years, at least I would hope so. Admins leave and they get replaced. It's not rocket science lol

I ran a very popular server at one point when cod 4 first came out. I picked 6 admins for different times of the day or night. All time zones were taken care of. Hell I even picked admins from other clans. One XI member is one of the admins on my server. All of them had full admin status.

I picked the admins by their characters. I looked for calm, level headed peeps that would not lose control and just ban people for stupid reasons.  Over the last 18 years of gaming I have only had to get rid of one admin. That is one of the easiest things to do. My admins ranged from 13 yrs of age to 50. Pretty impressive that a 13 year old can keep it together like that (one of my best admins ever).

Map picks were usually made by the regulars of the server. Changed every 3 or 4 months.

When the server was full no one ever got kicked. The peeps just had to wait for someone to leave. They were all on my ts and we all had a great time everyday. I had a bunch of private slots for members.

I will say this, because I haven't been actually playing as much as I was since I've moved my place of business and am still getting that off the ground, but I'm still always very aware of the website, the servers, TS, etc.  I have my admin tools up on my pc even while I'm working, but I don't often see any messages in the shout box or a private message or whatever, stating that a map needs pushed or that there are any issues.  At least not as much as this post makes it out to be.  Please reach out through the various ways of getting a hold of an admin, I can only speak for myself here, but I am usually just a few moments away from being able to push a map, kick an afk player, etc.
