COD4 MW2 Freezetag players, vote on what mod you want to run on the main server

This is for people who play on the COD4 MW2 main Freezetag servers. I wanna see how many people would like to see the old mod brought back or continue with the new mod. 

The old mod can be found here if you wanna jump in and refresh your memory on what it is

I'm not sure I have an opinion.  I like MW2 mod ... a few things bug me, and when certain players come on, I often just leave, but generally the games are good and fun.  I hardly remember the original.

Yoshi, it's also the MW2 mod, just different version.  You can check it out if you'd like, there's a server with it up and running.

I played it plenty before the current MW2 ... I just don't remember it being so much better than what we currently have.

A few of us played last night and we all were saying how good it was. The gameplay/engine was so smooth and guns felt right. Give it a go and see if you like it better!

I prefer the old mod with the big gun... Sorry,, Don't know the name of the weapon.. Saw or something like that... I rarely play on the new server mod anymore because of the weapon changes.. Love Loco's XI-UT2K4 Server...

So where does the new mod go once everyone votes the old mod back in, is that going on another server at least? I much prefer that over the old one, also not keen on the idea of Sammy's work just being thrown onto the back burner, he busted his ass over this and personally I think he deserves better.

You already put the old mod back up onto a server, yet the people who complain about the new mod still flock to it rather than play on the other server, I have no sympathy for these people they just want a reason to whinge imo.

My gaming goes back to 2008 and i have always been a regular, through all the mods, this statement of yours is not based on facts. I have seen in the years the numbers dropped so hard, but how low the numbers are lately is ridiculous. I notice that with each new mod we lose a lot of regulars (XI members as well as non XI members). This option to put the old mod back is the best decision that ever has been made, it is democratie. If the people that have always played here, are seeing it the way i do, then they will vote how they wish. It is the easiest way for a player to say or think F*** this sh*t, i am out, cya! With this new option it gives these people a way to vent their thoughts.

I suppose it would be convenient to try and say its a specific mod version (that any particular person doesnt like) that is somehow forcing people to go elsewhere. Sorry but this is a natural progression. Every year or two there are 1000 fewer actual cod4 servers even in the list.  All clans and their servers are dropping in traffic. XI is not immune. I am actually surprised cod4 has held on as long as it has.

In any case, the servers owners and clan leader... and only them... decide on what games and what mods are run. Polls are cute and all, but we all know that polls are bullshit and not to be trusted when it comes to making informed decisions. Unfortunately people tend to praise polls that give them what they want and dismiss those that dont.  In the past the old/new dual servers idea was tried a few times. It always ended up that the older version lost and didnt get the traffic. Pretty democratic. Each individual can go where he or she wants.

Rescind my vote as a non XI member.. I prefer the old mod with better game play & weapons.. It doesn't matter to me..  Rather keep playing on the XI-UTK4 Server without any complaints at all...

Can't say better than that, I think the same. My hesitation is on those stuff too, and it's really sad to think and say that cause all the rest is real good and okay.

Hello there.

I voted for the new mod, but for me, either of them is fine to me. Just have to adapt to it, and have fun with players on it.

I have questions though:
The old mod is available on another server so why people that want the old mod back don't go on the other server (and populate it) ?
Is the other server less good ? (idk: ping ? ci ?, ....).


And then so, to retake a question already asked, if the old mod come back on the other server, will the other server get the new mod ?

Edit: For those who want to answer this topic, you have to join the club, attop this page. I figure this out after couples minutes of search... haha
